International House Helsinki (IHH) is organising a Newcomer Information Session specifically for international degree students! If you’re planning or hoping to start your studies in the Helsinki capital region next autumn, join our event on April 18 for helpful information.
What is IHH?
International House Helsinki (IHH) is the entry point for international newcomers to Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa. IHH helps international newcomers settle and work in the Helsinki capital region through our authority services, such as registration of EU citizens’ right of residence or applying for personal identity codes and tax cards, and our other services for newcomers like employment coaching and relocation guidance.

What are Newcomer Information Sessions?
Newcomer Information Sessions are IHH’s regular online events to help international newcomers with useful information. You can get practical guidance, discover helpful services, and get your questions answered.
The upcoming Newcomer Information Session for incoming international students is specifically designed for people coming to the Helsinki capital region as students. It covers the immigration process and what steps to take.

What does the Newcomer Information Session for students cover?
It will cover immigration practicalities for international students coming to Finland. Join the event to learn about:

You have an opportunity to send your own question when registering for the event.
Please note that we won’t cover university processes or personal matters during the information session. We also won’t cover how you can apply for a study place or what study opportunities are available. If you are interested in these matters, please get in touch with the relevant education institution. What do I need to join?
Nothing! The event is held in English, online, and is totally free. Just sign up and show up.
