Unfolding stories of internationals is the next event in the New in Helsinki series. This event will highlight and celebrate the unique and diverse experiences of international individuals living in Finland.
Join the event to hear four compelling speakers who will share pivotal moments from their journeys in Finland, showcasing the ups and downs they have faced. The event will be an excellent opportunity for you to find your place in the international community and build new networks.

Dr. Apramey Dube
Dr. Apramey Dube is a Senior Research Manager at Cambri, bringing over 10 years of experience in delivering actionable consumer insights.
Originally from India, Apramey has called Finland home since 2010 and holds a PhD from Hanken School of Economics. He is happily married to an Estonian, and together they enjoy life in Helsinki with their two children and two cats.

Tamara is a Communications Specialist at KONE, a mentor at Think Africa, and a Marketing Strategist for small businesses.
Since moving to Finland four years ago and overcoming the challenges of building a career in a new country, she has become a recognized LinkedIn voice in Finland. With over 5 years of experience in communications, marketing, and public relations, she is passionate about connecting people and businesses.

Pamela Kaskinen is an English-language Communications Specialist for the City of Helsinki. Before this, she worked as a translator in several different agencies and a broadcast journalist for Yle News.
Originally from Minnesota in the US, she has lived in Helsinki for over 30 years. Now that her four adult children are living on their own, she has time to enjoy her quiet house in Pakila with her Finnish husband and beagle.

David Caceres Del Castillo, originally from El Salvador, has lived in Finland for over 18 years.
Former CEO and founder of Finlandia Hoy, Finland’s first Spanish-language digital newspaper, and former co-founder of HOLU AI Job Search Tools, he currently works as Social Media Manager at Espoo Lutheran Church and serves as a deputy member on Helsinki’s city committee for culture & leisure, supporting the city’s cultural initiatives.
