Helsinki Welcome Day

The City of Helsinki is holding an event to welcome its newest international residents who have recently arrived from abroad. Personal invitations to Helsinki Welcome Day have been sent out by post in May, but if you have just moved to Helsinki, you are very welcome to join!
The Helsinki Welcome Day will be at Helsinki City Hall on Thursday 05 June from 15.00–19.00. Helsinki City Hall is in central Helsinki, located at Pohjoisesplanadi 11–13. You can visit the event at any time throughout its duration, or you can stay for the whole event.
International House Helsinki will also be at the event, so come meet us at our stand and learn more about the services we offer to newcomers.
Programme
At Helsinki Welcome Day, new international residents will be welcomed by the Mayor of Helsinki. Participants will enjoy a diverse programme about living a good life in Helsinki and discover more about leisure activities in the capital.
Helsinki Welcome Day will feature a variety of activities, such as:
- Diverse speakers
- Welcome fair stands
- Live DJ and music
- Wheel of fortune
- Arts and crafts workshops
- Information about hobbies and leisure activities
- Introduction to city services
- Activities for children
Helsinki Welcome Day is free to attend for new Helsinki residents, but sign-ups are required. The number of participants is limited, so sign up now!
