Description

Are you moving to Finland and wonder about different housing options? Or have you already lived here for a while and now consider buying your own home?

International House Helsinki’s (IHH) Newcomer Information Session about Housing will provide you useful information about different housing options and finding a home in the Helsinki capital region. The session is intended for newcomers looking for their first rental in Helsinki, as well as those who have been in Finland for longer and are now looking to buy their own home.

This Newcomer Information Session covers important questions you need to consider when renting an apartment in Finland, buying your own home, financing your purchase, what housing company concepts are and much more.

This event is organised in collaboration with OP Uusimaa, one of the largest banks in the Helsinki region, and Michael Lutzeier, finance professional and real estate investor, who helps foreigners in Finland understand the home buying process and evaluate properties.

The session will take place on 15 June at 13.00–15.30 EEST (UTC +3). It is held in English and takes place online.

Starting time:

1.00 pm, Finland (EEST)
7.00 pm, Japan (JST)
3.30 pm, India (IST)
12.00 pm, Germany (CEST)
11.00 am, United Kingdom (BST)
7.00 am, São Paulo, Brazil (BRT)
6.00 am, New York, USA (EDT)
3.00 am, Los Angeles, USA (PDT)

The presentations will last for two hours, followed by an open Q&A session where you can ask general questions related to the session’s topics. Please note that we are unable to address individual or case-specific matters. Please also note that topics related to job seeking, starting a business, immigration, daycare or education in Finland are not covered in this session, as we host separate information sessions on working-life and relocation matters.

If you are new to the Helsinki capital region or simply interested in learning more about living here, IHH offers several guides to help you make the capital region your home.
