Are you moving to, or considering a move to, the Helsinki capital region?

International House Helsinki’s (IHH) Newcomer Information Sessions provide a wide range of information and support you in making the Helsinki capital region your new home. These  sessions are intended for international newcomers who are moving, or thinking about moving, to the area for work or family reasons.

Our Newcomer Information Session covers the key steps you need to take before and after arriving in Finland. We will also share information about topics such as housing, daycare and education options in Helsinki, as well as support available for partners and spouses.

The session will take place on 8 January at 12.00–14.30 EET (UTC +2).

Starting time:
12.00 pm (noon), Finland
7.00 pm, Japan
3.30 pm, India
11.00 am, Germany
10.00 am, United Kingdom
7.00 am, São Paulo, Brazil
5.00 am, New York, USA
2.00 am, Los Angeles, USA

The presentations will last for two hours, followed by an open Q&A session where you can ask general questions related to the session’s topics. Please note that we are unable to address individual or case-specific matters. Please also note that topics related to job seeking or starting a business are not covered in this session, as we host separate information sessions on working-life matters.

If you are new to the Helsinki capital region or simply interested in learning more about living here, IHH offers several guides to help you make the capital region your home.
