The Friend Program offers international newcomers an opportunity to start making friends and connect with people living in the Helsinki region.
This event offers a low-threshold opportunity to get to know new people, socialise, and feel part of a community. Helsinki Friends brings together internationals and locals in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere where everyone is welcome.
During the event, participants can connect through informal conversations and shared activities. Whether you have recently moved to Finland or have lived here longer, the event provides a great chance to expand your network, exchange experiences, and enjoy time together in a relaxed setting.

Suomenlinna is a historic sea fortress located on a group of islands just off the coast of Helsinki. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular place to visit, known for its beautiful scenery, old fortifications, and unique island setting. Suomenlinna can be easily reached by ferry using a standard HSL ticket (Helsinki’s public transport ticket).
Participation is free to attend, but registration is required in advance. Please sign up beforehand on the Helsinki Friends website to secure a spot.
