International House Helsinki (IHH) Employment Coaching provides reliable information and guidance for international professionals new to the job market in the Helsinki capital region.

Start here – general help for international jobseekers

  • IHH holds Newcomer Information Sessions about Working life online every 4–6 weeks.

    These online sessions cover the basics of Finnish working life, job seeking, and entrepreneurship. Each session also includes a Q&A section for general questions.

    After the information session, you’ll receive a lot of useful materials to kick-start your job search in the Helsinki region.

Drop-in coaching

Do you have a quick question about job seeking? Our online Employment Coaching Drop-in gives you the chance to get fast, individual advice – with no booking needed.

How it works:
  • Prepare one or two clear job-search questions in advance. You will have a maximum of 15 minutes for your questions.
  • Find the next drop-in date from the events page. Use the link to join the drop-in at the scheduled date and time.
  • Wait for your turn in the virtual meeting room. The coach will let you in.

Drop-ins are available on Microsoft Teams every 1–2 weeks on specific dates and times.
